Accessibility at Feltwell
The Methodist Church is an environment where all can feel welcome and cared for. In order to allow for widest possible access, this church has the following facilities available:
- Wheelchair Accessible - All areas
- Accessible Toilet
- Large Print hymn books
We have a Mobility Aids loan scheme. Members of the community may borrow wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walking frames and walkers for a donation towards their maintenance.
The Bookcase - has hundreds of books for people to borrow and return if they wish. There is an adult section with fiction, biographies, historical, cookery and many other categories, and a children's section with books from card pages, to action books &, factual.
The Snooker Room Our snooker room has a 3/4 size table which is available to use 24/7, except Sunday mornings, by pre-booking. a modest charge of £5 per hour helps to maintain the table, recovering, new cushions etc.
Skittles are available for groups to use as part of their room hire. Wooden skittles and balls make this a challenging game for team play.
We also have darts, bagatelle, table tennis, pool, air hockey, indoor hockey and various table games.
A hot water heater provides for hot drinks and cold, alcohol free, drinks in stock.
A sound system provides music from the last century of various genres supported with microphones and disco and ambient lighting.
Our stage and sound & PA system makes this an ideal country venue for presentations and meetings.
What's going on:
Sunday Morning Group Fellowship: 11.00 am - Hymns, prayers, readings, thoughts and discussions with refreshments
Mondays - 7.00pm - Monday Club includes Table Tennis Pool, Darts, Snooker. All ages and abilities welcome. Fun with good exercise! Refreshments.
Tuesdays - 1.45pm - Tuesday Club. includes, table tennis, Pool, Snooker - All ages and abilities welcome. Fun with good exercise. Refreshments.
Wednesdays - 10.00am - Community Garden Project - All local people welcome
Thursdays - Thursday Club 10am - midday. Well-being support group, listening, with a variety of activities and games, including Scrabble, Play Your Cards Right, Countdown and loads more, chatting with refreshments.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
What's possible!
The church is available for most ceremonies, including Baptisms of children and adults, Weddings, Marriage Renewals, Funerals, Celebration of Life events. The church and its hall can host parties of all sorts, blessings for family events and other events, by agreement. The hall measures 12m x 8m and can seat 80. It has a stage, and a mirror ball, to enhance many types of event and the premises includes accessible toilets and a kitchen. Music and lights can be provided for a reasonable charge, and even a red carpet.
